Trust in Him

Here we are in Advent already! We have a powerful introduction to the season in Romans 15: And in another place Isaiah said, “The heir to David’s throne will come, and he will rule over the Gentiles. They will place their hope on him.” I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. I am feeling hopeful this season. Are you? All Christians can have the hope of Christ, the eternal heir to David’s throne, in our hearts. Did you catch the key to confident hope in that passage? Trust. We place our trust and hope in Jesus and our precious Lord will fill us with what we need through His power. 
     We can’t pray better than echoing the Word of God, so I pray Paul’s prayer for you: May God, the source of hope, fill you completely with joy and peace as you trust Him.
