About the sermon: “Confession is good for the soul.” No, seriously, it is. The Lord’s disciple, James, says, “ Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” The second phase of forgiveness invites us to “same-say” the truth which God has laid upon us: “I am by nature sinful and unclean. I have sinned in thought, word, and deed. I have neither loved God nor my neighbor as I should.” It’s one thing to recognize one’s faults. Greater is to acknowledge that recognition to others. This weekend of our Forgiving Challenge is dedicated to saying, “Yes….that’s me. And, I am sorry.” Let’s do this!
