Gone

Easter worship at Shepherd was incredible this year, as always! Our hearts sang together the beautiful hymn written hundreds of years ago, “Jesus Christ is risen today!” The Mountain View worship team sang a much newer song, “Gone” from The Songwriter Initiative, (written by Paul Duncan, Kip Fox, Adam Lamb and Nyssa Lytikainen). The music and lyrics are as powerful as those written hundreds of years ago. “Why are you looking among the dead for something to build your life on? Look to the One who was not in that grave. The last time He’d ever be gone.” Let that thought sit on your heart. The last time He’d ever be gone. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit came to be with us in a new way after the glorious resurrection. We are so blessed to live in this time, when Jesus is never gone. Hallelujah! Easter joy! ~Tracy
