Godly Success

Here we are, coming up to Palm Sunday, then Holy Week! We will be looking at one of my favorite verses this Sunday. Romans 12:2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Letting the Lord transform us in this way is not easy or comfortable. Changing the way we think is a joint effort with God. When God is involved, we know He wants success and that bodes well for our transformation into the new person God wants us to be. 

Here’s a recent example from my life. I’ve known a woman for years and she has generally not been kind to me. More recently she suffered a tragedy and had to cling to God to emotionally survive. The closer she walks with Jesus, the nicer she has been to me. The Lord is using her gradual transformation to spur my own. I’ve been changing the old narrative in my mind about her, letting forgiveness do its full work on both of us. I can feel her becoming a new person in Christ and that brings me joy. I want to be a new and renewed daughter of the King each day. I am so grateful for everyone on that same path with God, whether they just started or have been walking with Him for a hundred years. Here’s to godly success in changing our thought patterns to be more like Jesus! ~Tracy
