Be Ready!

Be Ready!

The third chapter of Titus begins like this: Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone. I’ve learned some hard lessons on procrastination lately, and the phrase “be ready to do whatever is good” hits me hard today. I planned to be considerate, gentle and loving with specific people in my life, but didn’t follow through with action. I thought we had so much more time. I put off “doing good” and can never get those opportunities back. So, I’ll borrow from Titus and say, “Be ready!” I will think about Proverbs 27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring. Then, I will do the good thing in good time. Is there a relationship you want to mend or grow? This is a good day to follow through, friends. We are ready!
