Inheritance

Many of us want to leave an inheritance for our family. As much as we want to love and support the next generation, God wants it more. Paul tells us in Ephesians 1 that WE are an inheritance! “I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.” Through adoption as God’s children, we share His love and support with others. We are His holy people, His inheritance, not because of what we do or what we give, but because God redeemed us through His Son. An inheritance on earth can’t compare to living as God’s inheritance now and always. Today we ask God to flood our hearts with light so we can understand the confident hope He gives us as His people.
