Just Right

When we ask someone how they are doing, we often get rote answers. Fine. I’m okay. I heard two gentlemen this week answer with, “I’m just right.” What a refreshing attitude. They might mean they are content with where they are in life at that moment. Or maybe it is a spiritual affirmation. Whatever is going on with me right now is rooted in Christ. It is well with my soul. I’m just right. With Pentecost coming this Sunday, we focus on the work of the Holy Spirit. In John 7 Jesus said, “Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him.” Now that is a refreshing truth! With Christ beside us and the Holy Spirit within us, we are just right. ~Tracy
