Show Me

Our grandson is learning more words each day, but gets frustrated when he does not know the word for something he wants. Our daughter takes his hand and says, “Show me.” Has God ever said that to you when you were frustrated or couldn’t put into words what you wanted? Show Me your heart, child. Show Me your hurts and your hopes. Show Me what you really want.
Yesterday, the little guy said, “Show me,” and led his mama to the refrigerator for a new treat. He mixed up his pronoun, but figured out that the phrase led to a reward without getting frustrated. Have you done that with the Lord, too? Have you learned to go to Him in prayer before you get frustrated or overwhelmed or fearful? What a treat when we take God’s hand and show Him a concern we have or a praise that we can’t contain. And what a great reward when we know the Lord hears us before we even ask. Jesus said, “I am with you always.” No guarantee we constantly get what we want, but the Spirit guarantees that God always shows up. ~Tracy
