What We Need

Philippians 4:6-7 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. This is a very often quoted verse because some of us are very often worried. I love the part that says, “tell God what you need.” We know He knows, but we are always invited to share our hearts with Him. That’s where we find His peace. Following the fruit of the Spirit, here are some everyday needs we might have that we may talk to our Father about.
-Perfect love to cast out our fear
-Joy to cast out bitterness
-Peace to overcome restlessness and edginess
-Patience to work through confusion and give others time to understand theirs
-Kindness to turn quickly from anger to forgiveness
-Goodness to rule over selfishness and self pity
-Faithfulness to turn our heart to God and others
-Gentleness to live in harmony with others despite our sinfulness
-Self-control to override unhealthy thoughts and feelings
-And we put on the full armor of God to fight the darkness
With thanksgiving in our hearts and gratitude for grace, we praise and thank our Lord for listening to us and giving us what we need for each day. ~Thankful for God’s abundant mercy and great blessings, Tracy
