Treasures

Here is a big shout out to all our worship musicians and singers at Shepherd! Thank you for leading us in powerful praise and worship each week. I can’t carry a tune, but songs inspire me to worship. Martin Luther said, “Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world.” How do those holy treasures influence and inspire you today? The Lord might work on you in a different way this season of life, but Jesus still says, “Come, follow Me.” The Scripture you memorized twenty years ago, Pastor’s sermon, the contemporary worship song you just learned, the 500 year old hymn you love, the passage you read in Bible study that jumped off the page in a new way. All these are active, beautiful, inspiring, sustaining treasures God uses to help us follow Jesus. Sing to the Lord, Shepherd! ~Tracy
