Words

Petrichor is an interesting word. It means the (usually) delightful earthy smell during rain. Did you smell that sweet aroma this week? Our Sunday words will include chosen, grace, adoption and unity. As we begin our study of Ephesians, it’s good to remember that Paul spent nearly three years with the church in Ephesus as their pastor. They would be familiar with the ideas of Christian unity and God’s great grace in choosing them to be His own. Paul tells us in Ephesians 1:4-5, Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. Thank You, Lord, that Your words to the Ephesians are Your words to us! Join us Sundays to experience the sweet aroma of words like reconciliation, empowerment, sacrifice, and grace.
