Love Those Miracles!
Ready to have some fun? Share some faith-inspiring joy? What if we started asking our friends or family, “Have you ever seen a miracle?” We should be prepared with our own God stories, too. At church this month our pastors will share inspiring miracles from the Bible, and those stories are always great to share. Let’s give God some glory! Matthew 8 records many miracles of Jesus: a man with leprosy is healed with Jesus’ touch and merciful words; a paralyzed young man is healed from afar; Peter’s mother-in-law is healed with a gentle touch from the Savior’s hand. With a humble and happy heart, she prepares a meal for her Healer. And then, He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed all the sick. This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said, “He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.” Look at that little phrase, “He healed all the sick.” Wow. All. We might have a tendency to read a sentence quickly and miss the pure power and amazing joy in those situations. Jesus didn’t fear catching any disease or rebuking evil spirits; He had all authority over everything. That’s a great comfort in our lives today. Isaiah said He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases. The Lord still grants miracles and I can hardly wait to hear yours! For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen! Eyes open, faith growing, Tracy
